About Casey

Bio

I graduated from Princeton University in 2013 and am currently a 3L at UCLA School of Law. I am over a 2200 scorer on the SAT with a 170 on the LSAT. Before Wyzant, I also taught for Princeton Review and Varsity Tutors. As someone who held a full-time job while studying for the LSAT and who could not afford costly tutoring packages, I understand cost and time constraints are very real. I work with each student to maximize points as quickly and efficiently as possible.

As an undergraduate, I was fortunate to receive acceptances to my top choice schools: Yale, Princeton, Berkeley, UCLA and USC. Ever since, I have helped students with their application essays, and my former students have been accepted to Harvard, Duke, and MIT, just to name a few. I also received full academic scholarship offers for law school, but declined in order to accept an academic scholarship at UCLA Law. I also was a writer and the editor for bi-annual magazines for a non-profit in Las Vegas, NV. Lastly, I received recognition for my senior thesis paper at Princeton University.

LSAT,

LSAT

As someone who made 30+ point improvement (from my first diagnostic of 143 to breaking into the 170's within 3 months) I understand how much time and effort is needed for serious improvement on the LSAT. Reading comprehension was my strongest section at first, so I spent most of my time initially on games, trying to find a method that would 1) keep me organized; 2) make inferences clear and concrete; and 3) not require me to to imagine multiple different "worlds." After finding one, games became my best section. This means that I can both teach my preferred strategy, but I can also teach the other methods that might be preferable to other types of thinkers to find the best fit for you. It also means I am already familiar with most test prep strategies and terminology, so I can tutor as a complement to whatever other LSAT prep tools you are using to maximize your efficiency. Having tutored for several years, I am also familiar with several LR and RC strategies, so can help to personalize an approach that maximizes your total score.

Patient, understanding and insightful tutor

Casey taught me the different fundamentals of approaching the different sections of the LSATs. She really helped me understand the logical reasoning components that I was having trouble with and also aided me in approaching the reading comprehension section in a more effective manner. I really enjoyed my classes with her, they were fun and she has a good way of keeping the lessons interactive and enjoyable. She helped answer all the questions and concerns that I had and she was extremely responsive even after hours. I would definitely refer Casey to anyone who’s looking for a tutor during their LSAT journey, you’ll be in good hands.

Game changing tutor for LSAT

Even after a test prep course, logic games and LR seemed like complex mazes of hypothetical worlds and overly wordy paragraphs. Then, I met Casey. Her approach wasn't the generic "this is how you solve it" method. Instead, she swiftly identified my unique strengths and weaknesses, molding our session to what I specifically needed. In a single lesson, I was able to grasp games in a way that I had not been able to after hours of studying with a different teacher/test strategy. I am extremely grateful for her help and feel so much more confident to tackle any game now.Casey's mastery over the LSAT content is evident, but what truly sets her apart is her innate ability to translate complex problems into digestible, solvable puzzles. She didn't just prepare me for the test; she transformed my entire perspective, making me believe in my potential.
