Over the past five years, Drexel?s freshman applications tripled; full-time undergraduate enrollment nearly doubled; research funding doubled; annual fund-raising more than doubled; and endowment tripled. Our student retention rate is up, selectivity is greater and the performance of our endowment investments is among the best of any university in the country.Drexel University is enjoying one of the most successful and productive times in its history, and our students, faculty, staff, alumni and trustees can be proud of the central role they have played in these accomplishments. This fiveyear report chronicles these achievements and charts Drexel?s unparalleled progress. We have enhanced Drexel by implementing a strategic plan that maximizes the historic strengths that made Drexel an outstanding university ? our co-operative education program, our technological focus, and the resources and rich heritage of our Philadelphia location. We continue to strengthen our unique brand of learning as we strive to produce graduates who become successful professionals as well as good citizens. And through our alliance with MCP Hahnemann University, we have opened up a whole range of academic and research opportunities in the healthcare arena.I am excited about the many possibilities the future holds. Members of the Drexel community can look forward to more accomplishments to come. The University has overcome many challenges to reach the level of success we presently enjoy. Now, through the efforts of many, we will continue building a stronger future for generations of Drexel students.
